First Lost Tooth – I Live for the Moments Like This
There are those certain moments during parenthood that make it all worth it. Like the scream of excitement from Jace when he lost his first tooth. His first lost tooth – I live for moments like this.
Jace has always been my calm in the storm, even when he is the gust behind the storm. He has been my constant, my “normal,” my rock. His love brings me peace.
Just knowing that after four miscarriages and he was the first one that stuck, has made our bond even more magical. He is my rainbow!
I love to say he saved me, which is hard for most to understand. Not only was he the one that stuck, but he was my light when my Dad (who was my rock) passed away halfway through my pregnancy with Jace. His presence in my belly saved me from some very dark times.
It was no surprise that Jace losing his first tooth came at a great time. After sickness had run rampant through our house for weeks, sending Kailanie to the hospital, his excitement and joy were very much needed.
My kid’s magical moments, their screams of sheer excitement, and the squeals of joy – these are the moments I live for.
Since I started writing this post, Jace lost another tooth. He is now missing both his bottom front teeth.
Peace, love, and happiness to you allā£
